The debate will be co-hosted by WABC-TV in New York, WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, Univision in New York and Philadelphia, NJ Advance Media, NJBIZ, NJ Spotlight, El Diario, Rutgers University, League of Women Voters NJ, Lead NJ, and the National Association of Latino Elected Officials.

The second debate is scheduled to take place on October 18 at 7 p.m. at William Paterson University in Wayne. The debate will be co-hosted by WCBS-TV in New York, WKYW-TV in Philadelphia, The Record and other Gannett New Jersey newspapers.

ELEC will also schedule a debate for the lieutenant governor candidates. POLITICO New Jersey reported earlier this week that Guadagno has picked Woodcliff Lake Mayor Carlos Rendo as her running mate. Murphy has picked former Assembly speaker Sheila Oliver. The date for this debate has not been set but will be co-hosted by Montclair State University.
