On December 1, 2023, the NJPSA Board of Directors unanimously approved a slate of nominees for the Board of Directors for the term beginning July 1, 2024. The nominees were identified by the NJPSA Nominating Committee pursuant to the nomination procedure provided in the revised NJPSA Constitution and Bylaws. The nineteen member Nominating Committee was chaired by NJPSA Past President Dr. Arlene Rogo, and included six/seven members from each region of the State. The Committee reviewed more than a dozen Nominating Interest Forms. Below are the nominees:

Process for Challenging Nominees
Any NJPSA member wishing to challenge the election of a nominee must contact the NJPSA President in writing no later than March 22, 2024. The letter must indicate the specific nominee the member would like to challenge.

Requirements for challenging a Nominee
In order to challenge a nominee, you must:
- Fill the same categories as the nominee, including region of the state (north, south, central)
- Fill the same grade levels represented (elementary, secondary)
- Represent the same position in your district (This does not extend to challenging a principal. Any qualified
member can challenge another principal).
- Only a member from an urban district may challenge a nominee from an urban district.
(The New Jersey Department of Education has identified sixty school districts in the State of New Jersey as
being urban districts. Click here for a list of urban schools).
Listed below are the counties that correlate to each region of the state:
Northern: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic, Sussex, Morris
Central: Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth, Union, Somerset, Warren
Southern: Atlantic, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Burlington, Ocean, Salem, and Mercer
Grade Level Representation
Elementary: Members having responsibilities for grades pre-K through six (6) or any combination therein may be designated as an elementary representative.
Secondary: Members having grades seven (7) through twelve (12) or any combination therein may be designated as a secondary representative.
Members having employment responsibilities that include both elementary level grades and secondary level grades may be designated as either an elementary or secondary representative.
Election Process
In the event there is a challenge to one or more nominees, all NJPSA Members will be informed of the contested position or positions no later than March 29, 2024. In the event there is a contested seat, members will be able to vote by attending a virtual meeting that will be explained in detail to members if a challenge occurs.
