Acting Commissioner David Hespe took an important step toward becoming official as New Jersey’s Education Chief December 11. Hespe, who has served over nine months in the job was approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously His next step is a vetting by the full Senate in the coming days.
The hearing, was a colorful exchange of questions and answers from Legislators who were eager to hear about the top Ed official’s thoughts on everything from standardized testing to charter schools to school funding. Stakeholders, including NJPSA, voiced support for Mr. Hespe at the 3 hour hearing.
