The week of April 11-15 is National Assistant Principals Week, and we encourage all of our members to participate in any of the following activities to recognize and honor assistant principals and the great work they do to support our schools and our students.
- #APchat on Twitter. Join a conversation with other APs using #APchat on Twitter, Sunday, April 10 at 8:00 p.m., to discuss connected leadership.
- Assistant Principal Webinar. Join us April 14, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. (ET), for “Finding Your Leadership Voice,” a webinar on how assistant principals are developing and acquiring skills to become effective transformational school leaders. Participants include representatives from the National Association of Elementary School Principals and leaders from Prince George’s County Public Schools in Maryland who participate in The Wallace Foundation Principal Pipeline Initiative.
- APweek Hashtag. Use #apweek on Twitter and Instagram to share your words of appreciation, celebratory images, and other acknowledgments of the great work APs do year-round.
- E-cards. Choose a free e-card, add your message, and schedule the day and time for the card to be delivered. NASSP will email the card, along with a link to a special AP Week gift.
