On Wednesday, October 9, Assemblywoman Pat Egan Jones visited Deptford Township High School as part of the national “Shadow a Principal” initiative to celebrate National Principals Month.
Deptford Township High School Vice Principal Kristen Reid was very appreciative of the Assemblywoman’s time and energy throughout her visit. “Our visit today with Assemblywoman Jones was fantastic,” she said. “Assemblywoman Jones was gracious, patient, engaging, and it was evident that she really cares about people. We toured the building, spoke with students, teachers, Guidance, district admins, our Chief Academic Officer, and our Superintendent. Ms. Jones really connected with us and listened to us — our concerns, challenges, successes, and goals.
Assemblywoman Jones was equally pleased with her visit and getting the opportunity to get to know the students, faculty, and administration at Deptford High. “This has been an awesome experience all around,” she said. “Thank you so much for working to make this experience possible. I’m looking forward to further collaboration with NJPSA.”
If any NJPSA members would like to organize a “Shadow Visit” by a New Jersey legislator in their district, please call Jennie Lamon, assistant director of Government Relations, at 609-860-1200. She will be happy to assist you in reaching out and coordinating all of the logistics.
