Committees meet three times per year (Ad Hoc committees are convened at the discretion of the Board of Directors) at NJPSA. We encourage you to serve on one committee. Please complete this form by indicating, in order of priority, the committee of your choice. Remember, committee membership does not renew automatically every year. If you wish to continue serving on the same committee, you must indicate your interest by completing this form. Early Childhood Education:To review current and emerging issues related to early childhood education. To recommend statewide policies and NJPSA activities that will promote the maintenance and expansion of quality early childhood education programs. Elementary Level Education:To discuss issues and concerns of elementary school administrators and supervisors. To suggest programs for Professional Development for elementary school personnel, which would be provided by the Association. English Language Learners:To review current and emerging issues related to the instruction of students who are English language learners. To recommend statewide policies and NJPSA activities that will maintain and/or enhance the quality of instruction for English language learners. Legislative:To develop recommendations for association policy on pending legislative issues. Examine and analyze legislation and code proposals. Recommend positions to be taken by the Association. Middle Level Education:To determine specific services needed by middle school administrators and supervisors. To suggest programs for Professional Development for middle school personnel, which would be provided by the Association. Secondary Level Education:To discuss issues and concerns of secondary school administrators and supervisors. To suggest programs for professional development for secondary school personnel which would be provided by the Association. Special Education:To be responsive to the professional needs of special educators and students. The committee will consider and analyze current issues in special education. The committee will recommend NJPSA positions on special education matters. Vocational Education:To determine specific services needed by vocational education administrators and supervisors. To suggest programs for professional development, which would be provided by the Association. Gifted Education: Review current & emerging issues related to the selection and instruction of students who are identified as Gifted & Talented. The committee will recommend statewide policies and NJPSA activities that will maintain and/or enhance the quality of instructions for students who are identified at Gifted.
