Crisis Response Series: Preventing and Addressing School Violence
January 11, 2022; 2 pm – 4 pm
Presenter: Jeff Gale, Director of the NJDOE Office of School Preparedness and Emergency Planning

In light of the recent mass school shooting in Michigan, the recent uptick in threats against school officials, the growing need for mental health support for students, and alarming trends of anti-school social media, it is critical for school leaders to proactively work to prevent school violence. In this program, exclusively for NJPSA members, we will provide a comprehensive overview of legal requirements, best practices and recent trends related to addressing and preventing school violence.
