In this episode, Education Law Center Executive Director David Sciarra interviews two superintendents – Tony Trongone, Superintendent of Millville Public Schools, and Dr. David Aderhold, Superintendent of West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District. Both have been leaders in the effort to promote educational equity for all students regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status or zip code. They discuss the impact of the Abbott v. Burke litigation, and in particular the Abbott IV decision, in which the Court embraced the concept of having substantive curriculum standards as part of the Constitutionally protected entitlement to a thorough and efficient system of public schools for all students.
