Mentor Training Registration

All NJ L2L Mentors must complete a three-evening or two-day mentor training program.

Mentor Training Days introduce mentors to the State’s requirements for the Residency and trains them in a research-based mentoring process that focuses on developing a supportive mentoring relationship that effectively addresses the needs of new school leaders.

The mentor’s role in guiding Residents in their action research projects and development of the State-required Professional Growth Plan for Year 3 of employment, and reviewing the Summative Assessment and criteria for recommending standard principal certification will complete the training.

All training sessions are held at the NJPSA training facility at 12 Centre Drive, Monroe Township, NJ (evening). Training sessions are scheduled from 4:30 to 8:30 pm. Dinner is provided. Daytime training sessions are scheduled from 9 am to 3 pm. Breakfast and lunch are provided for daytime programs.

A $75 registration fee is required for the Mentor training. Payment is made Day 1 of the training by check or money order payable to FEA.
