Join Today!  January 25th– First Meeting Date

NJPSA members are grappling with major staffing shortages in every position in their schools on practically a daily basis.  At the same time, there are fewer candidates applying for positions in education than those leaving the profession.  These circumstances, combined with the ongoing impacts of the pandemic are creating a perfect storm of both a short-term and long-term staffing crisis in public education in all positions.

To discuss and address these issues, NJPSA is forming a member committee to explore potential solutions including changes to our current certification and licensure code, N.J.A. C. 6A:9.  The State Board of Education will be considering this code in 2022 as well so our timing is perfect.

If you are interested in joining this committee, please send an email stating your interest in participating to Jennifer Lamon of the NJPSA Government Relations Department, jlamon@njpsa.org.

Our first meeting will be held virtually on January 25, 2022 at 1:00 pm.

Thank you for your interest and participation!
