Not Sure How to Direct Parents Who Want To Weigh In About NJ’s Current Standards?
By Jennifer Keyes-Maloney
At the September State Board of Education meeting Assistant Commissioner Kimberley Harrington announced three regional (north / central / south) Listening Tours, as part of the current ongoing standards review process (NJDOE Announces Standards Review Listening Tour & Survey, September 10, 2015). The tours are meant to provide an ‘open forum with educators, parents, and community member. ‘ My guess is that you may have gotten a question or two from parents about the process and how to sign up? If yes, these resources may help.
Recently, We Raise NJ produced Quick Guides for Parents and Business/Community leaders that can be used to help direct interested parties through the process of either participating in the NJ Department of Education’s Listening Tours or Survey process.
