NJPSA proudly joins the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the National Association of Elementary School Principals, and the American Federation of School Administrators this October to celebrate the hard work and dedication of principals.
In New Jersey, the State Legislature passed a joint resolution to acknowledge National Principals Month and to commend the work of principals for the essential role they play in preparing today’s students for the challenges of tomorrow. They further lauded principals for their role as visionaries, instructional leaders, and community builders who demonstrate uncommon dedication to furnishing their students with a positive support system that fosters academic and intellectual development.
We know how important school leaders are to the success of their students., and we want to take this time to express our appreciation to each and every one of our principals. We urge you to share the news about all of the wonderful and important things New Jersey’s principals are doing in their buildings everyday.
There are many ways that you can join us during this month-long celebration, including tweeting your thoughts and congratulations using #ThankAPrincipal, sending e-cards to a principal and many more at www.principalsmonth.org.
If you would like to recognize a principal who has made a difference in a New Jersey school or community, please share your story with us so we can recognize the efforts of these too often unsung heroes by emailing: jlamon@njpsa.org.
Happy National Principals Month to all the amazing school leaders out there!
