Teacher Leader Bill Held
Legislation, A-448 (Jasey, Diegnan) / S-165 (Whelan)), which would create a new teacher -leader endorsement was held during the full Assembly session yesterday to do a bit of re-tooling and improve the bill’s chances of signature by the Governor.
NJEA and NJPSA will be sitting down with the New Jersey Department of Education in the coming days to tweak the legislation and come up with some basic modifications that will improve the bill’s chance of final passage dramatically.
NJPSA supports the legislation, issuing a statement late last week to the Legislature in support of the measure.
